MockHive

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 4, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully before using MockHive. Mock data is for development and testing — not a substitute for compliant production systems.

This document is a product template for launch preparation. Have qualified legal counsel review and adapt it for your jurisdiction before production.

Agreement

By accessing MockHive, the MockHive portal at portal.mockhive.dev, or the MockHive API, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

The service

MockHive provides hosted mock REST APIs for development and testing. Generated data is synthetic. The service is not intended for production workloads, regulated personal data processing, or live customer traffic unless you explicitly configure otherwise at your own risk.

Accounts & API keys

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and API keys. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or rotate keys to protect the platform.

Plans, limits & fair use

Features and usage limits depend on your subscription plan. We enforce technical limits (collections, records, requests, AI usage, etc.) as described on the pricing page and in the portal. Abuse, scraping that degrades the service, or circumvention of limits may result in suspension.

Fees & billing

Paid plans are billed through our payment processor (Paddle and/or Stripe) according to the prices shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Refunds and cancellations are described in our Refund Policy at https://mockhive.dev/refunds and as required by applicable law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for unlawful purposes or to store malware or illegal content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other tenants' data or our infrastructure
  • Resell the service without written permission
  • Misrepresent mock data as real consumer or financial records in production user flows

Intellectual property

We retain rights in the platform software, branding, and documentation. You retain rights in prompts and data you create. You grant us a limited license to host and process your content solely to operate the service.

Availability & changes

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify features, limits, or pricing with notice where reasonable. Maintenance windows may occur.

Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits or data. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk. Upon termination, access to the API may cease; export your data beforehand where the product provides export tools.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating company is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
